I have to admit my fail. My early plan on fully present my blog in poems seem to hit the wall. I mean, not that I can't blog with just poems, it is just sometime when I have sudden rush to bring out something, maybe just a quick one, I would need to think hard if is in poems way. Plus, I do not wish to produce a poem that doesn't look like a poem. Not that the blog have any frequent readers, it is just not me. I mean if is something that even you, yourself can't approve it, what about to expect people to read it then understand it, right?
Still, even I have decide to write back, it doesn't mean poems would eventually disappear here. I would still give in more in poems, just on and off, you might see some long-winded text (Just like this one) coming in as well. I'm that kinds of person, once I start writing and it would be difficult to stop.So yeah, sue me but that just how I am. =P
Anyway, what have I been hitting recently? Well aside job, most of my time currently commit to reading, on manga. =D I have been insane with Priest! Yes, the same name as you heard from one of the recent movie out showing in cinema these days. Though the movie was said adopted from the manga itself, but truth, it was never even close to resemble the manga story and more important, the movie sucks.
Although it was the movie that lead me to search for the manga, but I declared the movie sucks the moment I stepped out from the cinema. Not to mention, total nonsense in storyline, but what really cut out my appetite was the verbal script. I understand there are try to bring in the humour element to tune down the hardness of the movie but it simply doesn't work. In fact, it is the most lame movie that I have ever seen. Thank god I watched it for free, if is not I would have called for re-fund. So, you see how atrocious it is, even people like me that has always complain less, yet also can't help it but to splash some critics. =S
Wait, Why am I talking more on the movie already? You see this is the problems that I pin-pointed earlier. Sometime, I tent to write too much. =P Anyway back to the manga, at first I was just trying to glance for few pages but end up I'm still reading it today. The things that attract me to continuous reading, a page after another was utmost the storyline. I would said the drawing might a bit bloody or gore, not that type of manga that favor me but the story line, I must said I give two thumb up.
The general plot of the story no doubt is talking about how a priest (a demon possess priest to be specific) fighting against the vampire/ undead/ half demon half god ( for details of the storyline read here) but the way the author cum artist deliver the story delight me.
Like a movie, it uses a lot flash back. It might be slightly confuse at the beginning, but as you move on, the story somehow able to back up over one another, of the earlier flash back. Unlike movie, sometime it tents to ignore certain small element in a story( I can understand that in a movie you can't film much due to the time constrain and it would bored general public), however different counts when it comes to manga and Priest has successfully presented it in clean cut without circle the story flow like many famous manga did. Plus point, the manga was drawn by a Korean named Hyung Min-woo, a rather minority success as the manga industry is mainly dominated by the Japanese.
It wasn't a short manga though, in fact it is still on going and I dare say I'm going to occupy by it for a long period. Something that I would recommend if you are a big time manga reader! =)
